Facebook Tip- 2 Steps to Secure your Facebook Account from Hackers

Let’s imagine, you are a Facebook user who is connected to the million of people around the world, sharing personal information and suddenly someone hacks your account using it along with you.

Have you ever thought to keep your account away from hackers’ reach?

Here I am going to discuss how you can keep your account safe from hackers.  Facebook has many security settings and tools but as most of us don’t know about these features & settings and create an opportunity for cyber criminals.

This little feature of Facebook can be very handy to keep your account secure as it gives you alert or notification every time a person accesses it from a new computer.  You have two options; you can get notifications about the access via e-mail and text message. This feature is not popular, but it’s very handy.  You just need to follow two steps, just 2 not a big deal.

Let’s see how to use this feature:

Step 1

Go to Facebook, login and simply click on the “Account” drop down in the top right corner of the site. Then click on “Account Settings”..

Step 2

Once you are in your account settings, just click on the “change” next to “Account Security” toward the bottom of the page, check the box that says “When a new computer or mobile device logs into this account” that is how you can enable notifications for each login that takes place from a new computer anywhere in the world.

Congratulation!

You will now get notifications every time someone logs in to your account from a new computer. Thanks a lot for your time and patience. I will keep update you about Facebook time to time.

  1. Thanks for the article, but as a newbie I have one question or clarification. I do not want to get involved in any 'black hat' schemes nor get in trouble with any of the search engines
